Hobart Clarke Saunders Obituary
In 2015, I contacted the Westerly Public Library in Westerly, Rhode Island and asked if they could research their newspaper archives for an obituary for Hobart. Nina Wright, the Reference Librarian, responded:
"I found only a death notice, unfortunately there was no longer obituary for Hobart. Since the printout I made of it was not very good, I'll type the information here."
DIED - SAUNDERS--In Westerly, R.I., April 7, 1943, Hobart C. Saunders of 14 Spruce Street, husband of the late Bertha Hunter Saunders, aged 77.
Funeral from the Avery Funeral Home, Westerly, Friday, April 9, at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment in River Bend Cemetery.
