Birdie Kazalski

I'm guessing this photo was taken around 1918 when she was 6 years old.

Birdie was only 18 when she died from tuberculosis in 1931, two years before her 17-year-old sister Dorothy would be taken by the same disease. Tuberculosis also claimed the lives of Birdie's Aunt Minnie Leier Fretz in 1919, Aunt Louisa Leier Lanzaro in 1920, and Uncle Charles Leier in 1926.
