* Since Emma is the fifth child born to the couple, after Louisa (1884), William (1886), Amelia (1889), and Bertha (1890), and all five are alive at this point, then this makes no sense. The same problem exists on Bertha's birth certificate. The information appears to have been entered on this certificate by Louisa Newvalski, Emma's grandmother.
And then there is the date of birth: Mch 4th. I'm interpreting this as March 4th. I don't know why, therefore, that the certificate wasn't prepared until April 4th.
